Since I'm currently running a 3" straight pipe out the back with about 3 band clamps, I wanted a simpler exhaust. I decided to run 3.5" Aluminum pipe and I'm guna try to get it to the rear axle. This 3ft section of pipe weighs all of about 3lbs. Just wanted to be a little different and maybe it'll sound a bit deeper and flows 30% more than 3". A lot of the EVO guys run Aluminum from the Turboback without issues and I got the idea from Jason (Syclone#1531).

I will post more pics soon, and will be installing it when I get my Sportmachines coilovers for stock arms this week. Will be removing the Torsion bar X-member and will see how much more room I have for the exhaust.

you have to watch with aluminum. try to use 11 gauge for a downpipe. The first bend in the downpipe takes a beating. I have aluminum muffler-back.

Brandon,

I'm only using Aluminum downpipe back. Maybe down the road when I learn how to weld I'll make a DP after the 1st section.

Sean I just wonder how your Dad feels aboot you taking this truck to the next level?

Has he launched it? Is he scared you gonna wipe out?

Jimmy,

To be honest, my dad is proud on how well I've taken care of it over the years I started driving it. Taking it from a stockish 13.5 truck to a High 11s Ty working part time is an accomplishment for me. He enjoys coming with me and driving the Ty while we do tuning runs with Datamaster. Every so often he gives me a lecture about speeding and how I can get the truck taken away from the police, but I haven't once got a ticket and don't plan on getting one.

I take care of this truck as if it was my kid. He hasn't dissagreed with the mods I wanted to do to it and I do plenty of research. Being that he just bought a 08 Jeep SRT8 we are going to race at the Track for some fun.

Installed my RPM braided brake boost hose with the Adaptor fitting I got from Hood. Patiently waiting on my Sportmachines coilovers to arrive.

Recieved my Sportmachines Coilovers for stock Arms today! They look amazing and will match all the other polished stuff I have. Can't wait to install these bad boys in a couple days. At the same time, I'll be removing my Tubular Crossmember to have my Propshaft loop welded. I also have 2 brand new BFGs tires to install on the front, then alignment and then track.

Got the Coilovers done this weekend. Combination of cutting, grinding, pounding, painting and it's complete. Handles amazing now, a lot smoother and more responsive. Overall, well worth the $ spent and time.

All that's left is getting an alignment this week, and removing the Tubular Trans X-member to weld the Propshaft loop on. Also going to install a Torque Converter Lockup switch. Then it's time for the Track!

Will be installing the MSD 6AL-2 very soon. This should help keep my Launches more consistent. Will be using a Hurst roll control switch to mount on the shifter to activate the 2step.

I used my cruise control "set" button to activate my two step and line locks. Of course this is only good if you have ditched your cruise.

Justin,

I have the shock like this because if I flipped it around, the spring would hit the CV shaft no matter what. Pearl91chevy has his the same way. The only way I saw the shock flipped around from mine was with Tubular arms.
