Drove it for the first time, 24 years, without the front prop shaft. Wow, it was a totally different animal, VERY scary. It broke traction at 30 mph.

I too got my racetronics setup installed after repairing some jack a$$'s hack job on my wiring and who knows what china pump was in there. Also had the same issue with my vacuum lines so i removed cleaned and installed correctly with a reserve tank added back too now my hvac controls wont switch under boost. I hate people especially those that work on things and do it wrong and half ass as well. Going to drive it now hope all's well.

Free time to work on my truck. Installed a map sensor bracket. And wiped down the engine for the Ohio meet.

Went over to Dave P's house this morning and he helped me fix my non working floor vent actuator on the Typhoon.. The AC was acting like it was stuck on bi-level and now after the Dave P magic touch, it blows out of the upper vents only when on AC and Max AC!! Dave P also fixed up some wiring issues for the factory keyless entry..

Fixed my cruise control.

Waffled my head on some connector back in march and it was related to cruise. I thought I'd never figure it out or fix it.

Was super easy. Plastic box attached to brake pedal came loose. I hit my head on it removing a mile and a half of wire when I was under there. Went for a ~100 mile cruise to make sure the button works. Noticed around 40 mph the thing doesn't want to pick up or go above when the switch is advanced. If I was doing 60.. And hit the resume accel button it would pick up.

40 mph jamming the accel button.. Wouldn't go any faster?

Either way I have it working. Which it wasn't before.

Big thanks.....once again to Sean & Rich for their help getting my new WB02 sensor and gauge installed. The three pillars pod with all AM C.Fiber gauges looks killer

Got motivated again and pulled all the trans bolts out along with one motor mount bolt. One more to go and the motor is getting pulled out again this time broken pistons and not bearings. Only had srp pistons guess they can only take so much abuse.

Put my second new Racetronix pump in the Ty in under a month... We'll see how long this one lasts.. I can't wait to hear why the other one only lasted a couple weeks???

Oh... Completely forgot to mention... I decided to tackle the leaf spring frame bushings when I had the tank dropped and man oh man what a huge pain in the ass that was... Sucked up half of my day just to get those done...:shoot:

Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

started taking the intake manifold back off. When i bolted it on, i guess i underestimated the amount of silicone for the front seal. During the 700mile trip to the NASTE meet, it blew the RTV out of the front china wall, and was misting oil residue all over the front of the motor. I went heavy on the copper on the back seal. But wanted the front to look nice and clean, so i only did a little with black.

Should be an easy fix at only the cost of new intake gaskets. Fortunately the next 2 TnT days arent until mid-November. So i have some time.

use the gray rtv. it will never blow out. after it dries you could prob take the intake bolts out. its that good!

I cleaned most of the oil off. I'll see I I can locate the bad spot on the front seal.

Edited:

Looks decent, but not a great seal. This time it'll be better.

The puddle on the front of the block was the oil leak
