Built my own turbo coolant return line out of a couple of -6AN 90s, about 23" of -6AN braided line, a new M14x1.5 to -6AN adapter, and a -6AN to 3/8NTP adapter. Couldn't get the old hard line to stop dripping, so we should be good now.... as soon as I refill the lost coolant from doing the turbo side adapter.

I'm in to this half about $35. I still figure about another $30 for the feed side. At about $70 total, that's going to put it at almost 1/3rd of the RPM kit ($195 +shipping)

Good times.

LMAO! Really cool thread guys, and got a giggle out of responses. I did the same as usual, got in it, started like a champ. Thought to myself how much I wanted a real SY/TY. Got home, looked @ TY wheels, and Griffin, and thought, hmmmmmmmm, when am I gonna start this lil project.......

I did that too and an oil return line when i rebuilt the stock turbo. Spent about $85 on materials for all 3 hoses and fittings. I opted for the Summit Racing Twist-Tite -AN fittings and their compatible hose. Measure, cut, push together, install. Good to 250psi, just dont try to pull the hose off the fitting once its installed. Not gonna happen...

On another note, drove her today and set up an appointment for alignment. Figure its a good idea since i did the ZQ8 box and jeep shaft yesterday.

Finished sound proofing/insulating both doors, pulled the rest of the interior to get ready to do the cab. Should be fun. Debating on whether to pull the dash or not.

Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

thanks to Dave P:

1. new intercooler pump (mine was dead)
2. installed a boost solenoid (I didn't even have one, would only make 8psi max!, lol)
3. new 454 starter
4. fixed my broken/crooked ash tray
5. fixed my wobbly console with large washers
6. fixed my wobbly steering column
7. replaced my burnt up IP and Console harnesses
8. new ignition switch
9. removed remote start

This took place over the course of a short week.

Btw, my intercooler pump is an 8gpm unit, brand new, and well under $100

Installed my RPM Torsion Bar Delete. What a pain that was - but truck just lost about 50 lbs from that, plus the rear exhaust bracket and the spare tire hanger that I removed.

Details? I know mine is jacked up and have been looking for a replacement, but if repair is an option, I'll do that.

I don't know. When he reinstalled my dash, it was done. I think that one of the tabs needs to be glued/reattached to the housing...weird to describe.

Just trace the lines? Should be a pretty simple dealio. Maybe it broke and someone just left it out and plumbed in a splice?
