Re: thinking of stick-shifted ty ... I remember an article that was in Car and Driver back in 1990 or 1989, they took a TTA and swapped in a 6spd. It was for a top end test against cars of the day. It was a little faster on the top end but was much slower in the 0-60 and 1/4mile. by about a .5...

Re: Driveshaft bolts... I'm considering buying a Gilbert while I have the propshaft out. I have a shake in the front end between 60-70mph. I just had the wheels rebalanced again and it didn't solve it so I'm guessing thats what it needs.

Re: Tools that you've dropped in the engine bay of your truck. Having owned a shop I lost count of how many tools were lost inside cars. The worst incedent was when we left our cordless work phone under some Civics hood and the guy returned it to us two days later when he found it half melted...

So I 'm swapping to my built tranny today and I get to my front driveshaft and low and behold the last owner stripped all the ribs off the torx bolts on both sides. I tried like hell to get something to grip but nada was happening. Any suggestions?
