Re: How to install stock arm coil overs
Well I am just getting into my rear coilover and smaller 13 gallon gas tank ( that took me a dam year to find) install so I am not really looking for any joyrides until my list is complete . I am close but not quite yet .
I do agree that the tubular arms are much lighter . I have only in seen in person the rpm brand on matt's sy and I could almost twirl them around my finger , where as the stockers could knock a bitch out real quick if your not careful . The top arms are closer in weight , but the bottoms are where the tubular arms lighten the load . On a street truck or daily driver 26 more pounds isnt really anything after already shedding 60 . Thats like the weight of a few gallons of gas .
I am not trying to push anyone from buying kits from Mike of Jeff , I am cool with both of them and they have both helped me out considerably over the 3 years of having my sy .If I had the extra dough , I would have bought an entire kit . But after the billet 4l80e , new frame swap/restore , built motor with ported vortecs, paint job ,and the never ending list of other mods , I had to cut back somewhere .Ok , really my wife said I had to cut back or I could sleep in my sy if I chose . LOL .
