right now i have no payed orders, so as far as im concerned there is no GP.

once i get a bunch of orders it will take about a week to ship the parts. but honestly at this point i dont think its gonna happen. ill probably just end up putting the suspension kit on the website at regular price because out of all the people that said they wanted a kit no one has made it happen.

I do want a kit, but I can't afford it at the moment, besides the syclone isn't ready for it.. I'll order from you when it is time.. I'd probably just offer a kit on your site at whatever price you want, if people are interested they will buy it.

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

i am in, i will order. i have some questions first. I am running a 2000 Olds Bravada, the set-up wouldn't change would it?

should i look into getting a heavier spring?

I have a set of tubular uppers from a member around here that didn't know what they were in his garage... will that help me? also is there a place to pick up lower tubular arms?

and finally what is seeming to be the normal ride hieght that most of you are getting, i was seeing 27" earlier in the thread but my OD is 27 on the dot, is a slightly higher hieght do-able?

i will send my check fed-ex and a label to ship it back up on my account if this works out for me

the 27" was from the ground to the bottom of the cladding.. with your tires it will obviously be higher and yes you can raise and lower the truck based on how tight you make the springs (how much you compress them).. you will be the first to put these into a 2nd gen, don't expect the install to be easy or bolt in.. I don't know what the differences are between 1st/2nd gen a-arms

theres (2) 12 position adjustable shocks, (4) custom machined spring cups, (2) hypercoil springs, (2) spanner wrenches, and (2) thrust bearing assemblies in this kit. i added the link for the website check out of the GP in the post above and here it is again.

OK, I just shot your $50 via pay-pal and I will get a check in the mail today for the remainder. If you want to wait for the check to arrive/clear before you ship anything out thats no problem at all. Or, if you are going to Nats you could just bring them and I will get them from you then. Please include 650 lb springs with mine as they will be holding up a SBC. Should I go ahead and place an order via the link that you posted or how do you want to handle this?

Thanks,

i didn't even take into account the tire differences, i am in to be the first installing into a 2nd gen. Should i be looking into getting a heavier spring? i know there is a weight difference in our vehicles... but would it justify the different spring?

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

Check is in the mail. What is the total travel on these from fully collapsed to fully extended? And how much do the 600lb springs compress with the weight of a normal sy/ty on them? Anyone know?

I'd doubt it.. unless you had a 4 door.. I haven't even looked at the suspension on my zr2 but i'm sure its similar enough that it could work.

Re: How to install stock arm coil overs

Eric, will this kit work with JS control arms? I finally got my control arms from Jeff after 2 freaking years and need the springs and shocks and all associated stuff to put them in. Can you figure a price for the shocks, springs, upper and lower ball joints, and poly bushings for the control arms? I'll probably just go to autozone and get some cheap bushings so I can use the shells for the poly's. Does this sound like a good route? I'm a trans guy and pretty sure I can do this but just need to make sure I'm getting the right stuff. Figured I'd be safe get it from you.
Thanks, Eric!

Glad to see somebody else with a 2nd Gen will be checking this out, so I don't have to be the guinea pig.....Please let us (ME) know how this works out.... I'd like to ditch the torsion bars as well and am interested in buying a set, just want to have some idea as to whether it'll fit or not before I place the order.....Wife's kinda funny about that kind of thing.....

oh but i am a 4 door (see pic below). the system in my truck weighs in at 225-250#'s and full leather with some fiberglassed things and more to come.

i have read that others had used the jsm arms and ran shockwaves (w/o halfshafts) and are bagged, so i am pretty sure they are the same.

any thoughts on where to pic up a set of lower tubular arms?
