That's exactly what I was thinking as far as the tubing supports. It's just going to be a lot of work, expense, and at the end of it, it's hard to say how much weight would be saved. Also, a) it's hand laid, so the weight savings over fiberglass would be in question, and b) if I'm going to shell out for a CF bed, I couldn't imagine not springing for a CF bottom. It would just mean waiting and saving a little longer.
All in all, the intent is great. I'm a little concerned about the execution. Not knocking the product at all. I just don't think it is a good fit for my needs.

I imagine all components would be held within their own aluminum tube framework, not held to the bed at all.
To avoid the costs of a lower pan made in CF...perhaps some flat aluminum sheet metal with beads rolled in to stiffen ? Held with self tap stainless bolts or rivets or even Zuess fasteners.
