Re: Syclone Gut Swap

Project is looking really good! How is the dominator install going? I have mine wired enough to start, now time to tidy up the wiring and finish installing extra sensors :)

Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see the finished product :D

Re: Syclone Gut Swap

Got a bunch of work done today.. Got my hot parts back from ceramic coating so it was game on

Installed the headers, turbo, downpipe, and exhaust.. Was a pain but it looks killer:woot:

Here's some pics... Enjoy!!!!

Installed the wastegate to the downpipe and the downpipe to the turbine housing before installing it on the truck.

Installed the drivers side first.

Then the passengers side.

Then the turbine housing/downpipe assembly.

I then was able to install the turbo.

I then installed the rest of the downpipe and the entire exhaust.

Also checked fitment of my boost control solenoid mounting bracket... It is too close to the exhaust so version two will be on the way..

See ya!!!

Paul, Your tuck is coming along really good. Dave will do wonders with your wiring. Tell everyone I said hi from Ohio.

Your sy is coming along nicely and your doing a great job with making it look so clean!
I used the same round magnaflow muffler and it ended up being way too loud. I talked with Nolan and he said he used 2 back to back on a truck and it sounded great. I ended up getting one of there oval ones and using both of them and my sy sounds great and not too loud.
I talked with some magnaflow reps at the power tour one yr and they said their oval mufflers are much quieter than the round ones.

Just figured I would mention incase it's a little too loud for you once you finally get to start it :D

It's just a six

Looking great!!!!!

I see you are using cork valve cover gaskets?

I never much like those as compared to rubber Felpro gaskets.

Cork seemed to leak after a while.

Re: Syclone Gut Swap

I saw the cork gasket as well. So Paul I was wondering if you need the extra thick gasket it to get the valve covers not to hit the intake?

Thanks dudes!!

The cork gaskets are from felpro... I have no experience with cork gaskets.. Sounds like they suck...lol... Problem is, as far as I know these are the only gaskets that will fit the brodix -8 heads???

Let me know if you guys know anything that I don't..

As for the valve covers hitting the intake.. That won't happen with the B90-V6 intake since its super awesome...lol...

See ya,

See ya,

That is perfect since I got one of those super rare intakes from someone ;)

Perfectly matching my -8 straight plug heads! Watching intently!!!

One question. On your downpipe what is the brand of the extra wide clamp at the mid pipe?
