yeah someone just get an upper IC and a turbo to them for fitting and we can get this thing rollin.

Maybe they just meant they wanted to sell to a dealer, rather than a bunch of individuals. I'd think they could care less who dropped the fitment parts off, rather it be a courier, a cab driver, or adam...

I wan the upper IC cover as well. maybe the turbo if its reasonable.

no no no dont take it the wrong way. i mean, it was/is to be more of a vendors affair instead of each individual bringing thier stuff in one by one or what have you, that sounded like a headache for everyone...i want one thats all im caring about ::thumbsup::

You think this would fit a te-45 turbo?

Hey Guys,

First time checking out the thread. I spoke with Julio the other day, and expect to make it down there sometime this week. It is definately alot further then I thought, but I think it is necessary for me to go there and converse about what we need and what we can afford. Adam surely could have picked up the parts and delivered them (makes no difference), but after speaking with Julio I think there are some business talks which need to be discussed prior to any further R&D. It made the most amount of sense to bring down all these parts and pick the materials and try to get an affordable product.

I had oringally thought there would be lots of people interested, but after combing through the posts I think there are very few of you. Maybe we can get a list going (more people=cheaper price) I dont mind keeping a few in stock for future sales, but I think we need to generate aprox. 20 pieces of each version to make it cost effective. I figure we can do:

1) Stock turbo/Upper Downpipe
2) PTE housing,and upper 3" downpipe
3) Stock IC

Let me know asap. And let me know if you have any other ideas.

so what excactly will be made maybe? would a blanket be made for stock manifolds and crossover pipe? i have a pte turbo and downpipe that i would like to cover. i'm all about lowering underhood temps.
would these blankets promote rust or corrosion under the blankets?

i think the #1, #2, and #3 that mike lee mentioned would be the most practical blankets...a stock manifold cover sounds like it might be a tough one to make according to julio although anythings possible...also IMO a crossover blanket or covering might be a potential fire hazard if an oil leak or power steering leak develops...as for the rust, i think they should actually prevent rust if they are covering bare metal...

anyway, as for interest, i'd be interested in a #1, a #2, and two #3's...

i hope the best insulation material is chosen considering the possible crystalization of the fiberglass like sean morris mentioned before...julio said that the only downside to it crystalizing is that it could ruin the fiberglass if the blanket was to be removed and reinstalled often...he said that even if they did crystalize, the blanket would still insulate as well as if it was not crystalized...would just be more brittle inside...just food for thought as our egt temps are on the high side...

roughly how much will these blankets cost if they are made?
can some kind of blanket be designed to shield off a little heat from the manifolds?

I would like one of each (stock turbo/ic blanket/stock downpipe cover)
Can we get some kind of ball park for price?

JustBeachin

Plays well with others
I'd be interested in an upper IC cover, and a turbo & upper downpipe cover.

Also, wanna make sure I get my stock turbo back.
