(not today, but a couple days ago)
Pulled the dash out to change out the LED's and add speedhut gauges. I ordered a bunch of LED's for the dash and interior.
Also checked out how the new rims and tires look

Oil change and started her up over the weekend. Cranked right over, which was nice since I forgot my laptop. Just have to change injectors, decide if I want to put my headers in, and I'm good to go.

Was nice to be doing something not firearms related. Been a rough couple weeks.

I put the new clear marker lights in. I threw in the black grill letters for now, they will be black/red when the truck gets out of the shop. from this..

We just got raped here in CT. Spent the last few weeks buying what I wanted to have, selling what I could live without, and helping a ton of other people get what they wanted before the law passed.

Burnt me out a little bit.

CO's bullshit isn't even in the same league as the bullshit CT just passed.

It's very likely I'll be moving by the end of the year.

Took 2649 to my friends shop for fuel lines from the TC up to the fuel rail. Turns out the flatbed guy used to own a Sy. Bought around 04 and sold in 07. He believes it was truck 1582 but wasnt 100% sure. Didnt see anything about it using search.
On the SGT, it got a new passenger door handle and about 5 lbs of speaker wire removed, and prepped to have a factory harness soldered back in.

After two months of working on putting the Sy back together, I finally drove it today. It runs nice and smooth so far. Although, it does need a good tune and the wastegate adjusted. Oh, and the steering wheel set back straight (don't ask)! I did notice that my tach and oil pressure gauge are on the outs. I may need a new printed circuit. Either way, I happy to finally enjoy my new toy. The tune will make me even happier.

Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

I piddled with it for a bit.
Have an Ostrich setup (Thanks Jeff!) and wanted to have it in the truck somewhere but not bouncing all over the place. Also didn't want random wires just sticking out all over the place so decided to rig it all up to the glovebox.
So I ran the USB cables out the back of the glovebox and down to the passenger side and "tucked" them up in the corner by the passenger foot. Also took the ALDL cable and ran it beneath the dash to the back of the glovebox.

So now it's tucked back and not intrusive.

Now I have to see if I can find a decent way to mount a laptop. My wish would be to find some type of contraption where it would mount out of sight and I could "pull it up" when I wanted to use it. Was thinking this way it could be in the truck "full time" and if I was driving it and something ever felt weird, I could just flip it up and instantly start a datamaster recording. But more than likely I won't be able to find anything like that and will just have to strap it into the front seat with the seatbelt and store it behind the seat when not in use.

Re: What did you do to your SyTy today? (part 2)

Took the column, dash, and seats out this weekend. And last weekend pulled the fenders and core support off it. Also bought a engine hoist, stand, and dolly to get ready to pull the drivetrain out of it. Getting ready to strip it all the way down and have the frame blasted and coated. The burnt up plugs are to the ignition switch, and all the wires have been spliced just a few inches from that.
