I need a deep trans pan part #

If your thinking of the new deep GM pan that is on the 4L65E truck transmissions, it won't work with our 700R4. It requires a filter that will not fit our transmission cases. The intake tube is a larger diameter than what our transmissions have. I learned the hard way. It only fits 97 and up...

    Considering a Syclone....

I'd say $4,000 would be about right.

    went to the track today!

Well, it's not good for it. Take some precautions and its not that bad either. It builds a lot of heat really quick. I have the a 35,000 GVW transmission cooler. Also, I get the trans cool before each run by dousing the cooler with water. Doing both will greater reduce the stress of building...

    went to the track today!

At the track I will slide my seat forward a few inches so I can really jam down hard on the brakes. Then slowly apply the throttle to build the boost. That's all I need to do to build 6-8 psi and get mid 1.7 60foot times. After that I creep through the lights. To build more boost you can pull...

    went to the track today!

Build about 6-8 psi on the line and you'll be in the 1.7s and have a mid 13 second ET with 97 mph.

    ATR upper intercooler track results

I gained one mph, but the ET was the same. Not bad for an 18 degree hotter day. :D

    ATR upper intercooler track results

I raced about 2 months ago with my stock upper intercooler, rubber IC lines, Jabsco pump and stock lower heat exchanger with a Spal puller fan. Water and Redline Water Wetter filled the system. From the start line to the finish line IAT temps would rise 70 degrees on a 17psi run. Outside air...

HELP! Mad some mods, now need help!

In my opinion the Bad Dog 14cm exhaust housing is way to big for Colorado. You're going to have a hell of a time getting to spool with anything less than a 3400 stall converter. And 3400 is pretty miserable to drive on the street. Did you buy it Turbo Engineering Corp. ? TEC was trying to sell...

    Rear main seal replacement???

Thanks, I was dreading dropping the pan. Now I just have to get my energy level up to start taking things apart.

    Rear main seal replacement???

It looks like I have to replace my rear main seal. Has anyone done it? Any advice, tips or tricks? My manual states that I have to pull the oil pan off and un-bolt the seal housing. Any way to do this with the the pan and seal housing in place? Couldn't I somehow just pry out the seal then tap a...

How long should a Jabsco last?

I've had mine on for two years and running continously for the entire 25,000 miles and it is still going strong. :)

    What's average mileage for Syclones?

I've put 20,000 on my Sy in two years. I'm now at 87,000. I don't regret one mile. It is just too damn fun to drive. Besides the body is all beat to hell and I don't mind leaving it in a parking lot or driving in the snow. Someday I'll repaint it.

    "Beat the Syclone" $500 Challenge

Your Sy and intercooler will get hotter, and considerably slower, after each car. A long cool down, ice bags and a garden sprayer for the lower heat exchanger will help a lot.

    roller rockers

I know that the Crane Gold aluminum self-aligning 1.6 rockers will fit perfectly under the stock valve covers. As well as the Comp Cams 1.6 self-aligning roller tip rockers. I've installed both of those rockers. No problems.

    New guy

Anytime I had over about 8-10 psi of boost the truck would just fall on its face and boost would increase VERY slowly from that point on. The new Walbro pump made a tremendous difference.

    New guy

You HAVE to check the fuel pressure during acceleration. Tape the gauge to the windsheild. Fuel psi MUST go up one psi for each psi of boost. So at 15 psi plus your base 46 psi you should be at a total of 61 fuel psi. When I bought my Syclone I had the same EXACT problem as you. At idle I had 46...

    PI Vigilante 3200 Stall TC

Don't think so. All 96 and up GM transmission use Pulse Width Modulated clutch lock-up, which utilizes a different clutch material, that won't work on the 94 and older(including yours) trans.
