Re: Bad boost problems. HELP! I had a very large leak in the underside of my IC to TB connection that was limiting my boost. It would blow open over 5 psi just enough to bleed off boost. The bike tube test made the leak pretty obvious.

With a cold engine and throttle open, my 110K mile Ty had right around 105 compression. It had just ran a 13.4 @ 99.5 before I checked the compression.

I had my manifolds coated with JetHot 2000, which did zilch for heat control. A better manifold coating may indeed help. What lasted the longest for me was the MSD race boots with the ultra-expensive Moroso plug booties. I got about 200 miles out of those before half of them burned through...

Re: Removing eeprom from memcal. If you don't care about the stock chip, you can also snip its pins to get it out, and then take a tweezers and pull out what's left of the pins after you heat them a bit. Just thought I'd throw that out there for ya :D Anthony

Just to get this info out there, if anyone's planning on using the straight-plug Lil' Brodies with stock manifolds, the head on the driver's side needs to have the shoulder trimmed back to allow the manifold to sit flat against the head. The spark plugs do sit closer to the manifold as well...

It is also extremely easy to make a bracket that will allow you to use the stock wastegate actuator after the turbo has been clocked. That is IF you really want to use the stock wastegate... Anthony

I just got one from gmpartsdirect about a month ago. If the website brings up the correct part # and description and lets you order it, I'm willing to bet it's still available. Don't forget to order a new gasket as well if you go that route. Anthony

My -8s, done by a local shop, flowed 267/210 @ .500 lift and 282/223 @ .600 lift. They weren't flowed at .700 lift. Those #s are with 2.05/1.60 valves. Anthony

How 'bout an update :) I'd say they worked pretty well considering the 1.6 60ft in 40 degree weather at night on a less-than-optimally-prepared track. Plus, they look so darn sexy. How much were those bad boys? A
