i have a stock tc with it now and i can build 7psi at the line no problem. this is with and external gate. does that mean my truck might have a higher stall converter? whats a good way to tell?

i think it has something to do with the fact that i have a 20g-14cm turbo with stock tc, it helps me to build boost with the OD lugging a little bit before it downshifts. if that makes any sense

Is there any reason why my truck should feel like it excellerates faster in overdrive than drive?? I have an ultimate 50# chip, and was wondering if this maybe had something to do with tc lockup points and what not. thanks.

yea i run a stock tc with the 20g-14cm. my spoolup is acutally pretty good with my external gate, not as good as the stock turbo but pretty close. dont know if i said this yet but i got these times using 91 pump gas.

ya i wasnt giving a shit about the guy next to me. i just know my truck should be alot faster than a 13.7. i was just trying to figure out some tricks to the track. im figuring with a good launch i can drop at least .75 off my time

ya i didnt get to launch on that run, the lights went up way to fast. with the nitrous i get imediate spool up. really trying to get some tuning going is my next step. but thanks for the input

first time at the track, 16psi- 13.7@101mph. with a shitty 2.3 60ft time. this is with 20g 14cm turbo, tons of ic mods, nitrous express wet kit with 75 shot. i had very little detonation but i really need to work on tuning and learning how to race at the track. its a different animal from...

its definatly a problem with your iac motor. get some b12 chemtool carb cleaner and spray it down the throttle body slot where the air bypass whole is. your problem is you iac valve is dirty and is sticking. had the same problem, cleaning the iac fixed it. good luck

just fyi. i put a 20g-14cm mitsu turbo in my truck a week ago. with the stock tc and an external mini gate i can spool the turbo no problem. its slower than stock, but when it spools it makes a hell of alot more power.
