More info on the second gen knuckle...Will the Renz bracket fit the second gen knuckle too? Are the 2nd gen knuckles the same specs other than wheel bearing design? I too would like to just get some extra knuckles so I can mod them with no down time.

Yes, other than wheel bearing and caliper ear placment, there interchange with our balljoints, and brake brackets etc.

Is the 2nd gen knuckle capable of running the older style bearing? I have part number number: 513013 (non-ABS) circa 1985 4x4...that way I don't have to use the ABS sensor plate. The Timken part number for say a 2001 Blazer is: 513124. So will these intechange? Will the first gen CV shafts work for the new bearings? I know the later unit has a sealed bearing assembly, but it also has an ABS wire hanging out of it. I guess I'll just use the first gen knuckles I have and mod them.

No, you have to use the 513124 bearing. The bearing has a bolt in abs sensor, not one mounted to the backing plate. so removal is cake. And the brakes are so big, that the amount of modification needed would leave you with almost no backing plate at all, so I ditched it completely. Clean and neat. CV axles are the same and same spline

For the hub what brand is recommended, as a quick search yields ones from 30 something to over 140 each. I found timken for 91 shipped and the knuckles for 55 shipped each. This sound reasonable? Also is there a recommendation on the rotors, gm or aftermarket? I found the z06 the same way from cheap to no damn way on my wallet lol. Already have ls rears to put on so I will be going that rout for the rears for now.

i have c6 zo6's with c6 z06 knockoff wheels and have the same problem. hits the spokes by 1/4" :tdown:

My old truck is eviltwins Ty. I had the c6 z06 knock off wheels with 06 z06 brakes front and rear. No problems. Fit perfect.

We only use the timkin bearings. The rotor for the front we use straight from GM. Be aware, there are two listings for the front rotors under c6 z06, you will need the bigger of the two. The other is about 3/8 of an inch smaller in diameter and won't fit the caliper properly.

Just for those looking into it here are gm's #'s for the C6 Z06 rotors.
Front rotor part number is 19121787
Rear rotor part number is 19121797
Again amazon is our friend here we will see the prices for front and rear rotors. Combine these with the calipers a few posts back and save some serious loot on this set up, more left for the wheels to clear em lol.

Yeah, I don't know the brand. All I remember is I bought them brand new on eBay. I asked the guy if they would clear the z06 c6 brakes. He said yes, and they did clear. My z06 brakes came off a z06 with like a thousand miles on them. He was up grading to brembos, I think. I got the calipers and rotors for $1100, what a deal. I wish I could find that again.

I know for a fact that the ctsv brakes fit under the 2010 camaro wheels. I've seen it. Looks good!

Been looking around while i wait for my spindles to come and amazon yet again has some sick pricing. Here we have the 2010+ camaro rears for ~$102 for BOTH! Just check the bought togethr listing or 1722502 1722503 for each part number. These are suposed to be the same as cts-v more or less with slightly dif. pistons but still 4 piston calipers.

Sportmachines do you have any pics of the modified 2nd gen knuckles. I'd like to have a reference before I start cutting, I know it should be pretty up front what is in the way when mocking up but pics would be awsome.

OK so this weekend I will be doing this mod on the front. I have C6 Z06 replicas with 57mm offset on the truck. Since I got a pair of knuckles from the junkyard with bearings for 50 bucks each Ill post pictures of things I see that could cause problems and hopefully give ideas for the people that are on the fence. Since I daily drive my truck I did not wanna put it on jack stands to figure this out and thus hopefully I can help out a little. Please let me know if anybody would like something specific out of this process and Ill do my best to help out.
