Thanks Ry. I got the long block together. Had to go get some new push rods for obvious reasons

Got the heads back with Comp 987 valve springs, new guides, seats, valve job, retainers and seals. They look good. Here are some pics I took of what more I have done
First, I soaked the lifters
Then installed the lifters
And their retainer/guide thinga mabobbers
Installed the spring plate that holds them all down
Here are the heads

I dip the push rods in to assembly lube. Not sure where the pics of torquing the heads went but it did get done:roll:

Lube the tops of all of the valves
And the seat for the push rods on the roller lifters
I set the rocker arm in place, best to do this IMO, is to get it to where when one lifter is up all the way, adjust the one that is next to it. I just turn the nut until I feel the slightest resistance, then 1/2 turn.
Then install the lock
Done
On each side of the block, I installed drains
Thats all I have for now. I hope to have this in the truck within a week.
